Critical behavior of n - vector model with quenched randomness
نویسنده
چکیده
We consider the Ginzburg-Landau phase transition model with O(n) symmetry (i.e., the n-vector model) which includes a quenched random field. We have proven rigorously that within the diagrammatic perturbation theory the quenched random field does not change the critical exponents in replica limit n → 0, which is in contrast to the conventional point of view based on the perturbative renormalization group theory.

Criticality in the randomness-induced second-order phase transition of the triangular Ising antiferromagnet with nearest- and next-nearest-neighbor interactions
Using aWang-Landau entropic sampling scheme, we investigate the effects of quenched bond randomness on a particular case of a triangular Ising model with nearest(Jnn) and next-nearest-neighbor (Jnnn) antiferromagnetic interactions. We consider the case R = Jnnn/Jnn = 1, for which the pure model is known to have a columnar ground state where rows of nearest-neighbor spins up and down alternate a...
متن کاملPatterned and disordered continuous Abelian sandpile model.
We study critical properties of the continuous Abelian sandpile model with anisotropies in toppling rules that produce ordered patterns on it. Also, we consider the continuous directed sandpile model perturbed by a weak quenched randomness, study critical behavior of the model using perturbative conformal field theory, and show that the model has a random fixed point.
متن کاملEffect of Random Impurities on Fluctuation-Driven First Order Transitions
We analyse the effect of quenched uncorrelated randomness coupling to the local energy density of a model consisting of N coupled two-dimensional Ising models. For N > 2 the pure model exhibits a fluctuation-driven first order transition, characterised by runaway renormalisation group behaviour. We show that the addition of weak randomness acts to stabilise these flows, in such a way that the t...
متن کاملRandomly Dilute Spin Models with Cubic Symmetry. Typeset Using Revt E X 1
We study the combined effect of cubic anisotropy and quenched uncorrelated impurities on multicomponent spin models. For this purpose, we consider the field-theoretical approach based on the Ginzburg-Landau-Wilson φ4 Hamiltonian with cubic-symmetric quartic interactions and quenched randomness coupled to the local energy density. We compute the renormalization-group functions to six loops in th...
متن کاملCritical behavior of semi-infinite random systems at the special surface transition.
We use a three-dimensional massive field theory up to the two-loop approximation to study the critical behavior of semi-infinite quenched random Ising-like systems at the special surface transition. Besides, we extend up to the next-to leading order, the previous first-order results of the sqrt[epsilon] expansion obtained by Ohno and Okabe [Phys. Rev. B 46, 5917 (1992)]. The numerical estimates...
